Serene Views of Lake Michigan This one is a bit of a personal favorite. Everyday thousands of people drive past this decorative water tower (it was built in the 1870's to disguise a pipe for the city's water processing system). Off to the side is Water Tower Park which has a nice water fountain. Across the street there's bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. There are few places lovelier for a walk.
The water tower and park face N. Terrace Avenue. Head south on this street to see some of the most beautiful, historic mansions in the city. |
